Welcome to my corner of the internet!
A little bit about me: When I was growing up, I kept 3-5 books under my pillow at any given time so that when the house was asleep, I could read. There was no reason I couldn’t keep the books on my nightstand; I just wanted them as close to me as possible. It added to the sense that reading created my own safe and private world. Since I can remember, I’ve kept various forms of journals: beautiful leather-bound notebooks, plain composition books, tiny decorative memo pads, diaries with physical locks (one in particular, I remember, was purple and fuzzy), and even, as a kid, the coveted Password Journal. My current journal is a Hobonichi Cousin, which has given me much-needed space to play and create by making a page a day, often embellished with washi tape and stickers.
Through herdogearedbooks, I’m sharing with you this part of me, with hopes that you’ll feel the same warmth, comfort, and excitement that learning and growing through the written word brings me.
On the first of each month, I’ll post which book(s) I’m reading to the Reading List.
From time to time, I’ll post my reflections about life, books, etc., to the Blog.
I’d love for you to read along with me and share what you’re reading and writing.
xx,
Kendra
